uw/fow
triple greens

I don't really care about the rest, I do have a couple of strong objections for weekends though.
1. Double dye drops
2. Double scroll drops
3. Hero xp gain (kill me now)

That's it, thanks for the poll

Special Item Drops:[LIST]*
*-These weekends I don't really participate in either because I don't pvp (I bought the game for the PVE element which I enjoy throroughly). Or I don't play the game enough to be experienced enough (eg. i'm too noobish for) to frewquent these areas.

Double Chest loot/greens/golds/keys/dyes increase the farming of said items so I just wait until they flood the market and dampen the market value of the items then buy them at cheaper prices.

Double/Hero XP/scrolls is nice, but I don't really notice it after lvl 20.

So that leaves the following:
[*]Shing Jea Boardwalk[*]Gamer Weekend (access to Shing Jea Boardwalk, Dragon Arena, Rollerbeetle Racing)
These seem exclusive to Canthans and/or those with access to SHing Jea.
[*]Snowball Arena
I liked this, but I still classify it as PvP, which I usually don't do. I tried it once or twice...
[*]Shamrock Ale and Four-Leaf Clover
These were a nice touch to the events; I'd like to see more of them for future events.

**********************************

What I'd like to see more of is events like the one during the wintersday/hallowe'en events. They were playable across campaigns and didn't require some sort of farming (think golden piggie/iron chef in shing jea) or grind ("lfg 5-man green farming" in Vasburg Armoury").

A fun PvP event parallel to this would be nice for those PvPers.

But I had the most fun where you just had to show up and participate (via emotes) and didn't care about working on titles, gathering greens/golds. The sugar/alcoholic treats are a nice touch. These events don't even have to feature a mask/hat/minipet (read sellable commodity) at the end. Just something for all levels to enjoy.

Also, next year is 2008. Instead of making it just the year of whatever it is in Canthan New Year, you can also make it the YEar of the Frog with a special event (maybe turning everyone into frogs or having a leap frog tournament?). since it is also a "Leap" year.

Default My top with suggestions

1. Rare item drops (shamrocks etc)
2. Rare (gold) drops
3. Triple green drops
4. Rare chest drops
5. Increased key drops

Suggestions --

1. Double/Triple Merchant Days purchase return (instead of getting 20g for something you would get 60g

2. Rare monster/boss sightings - you never know when and where they will show up... but a rare monster could have a special drop or a special skill to cap.

3. Free Cap Sig with every elite boss cap (basically elite free capping weekend!)

4. Rare Pet Sightings - Very hard to find elite pets can be found 1 in a 100 instances chances... if you are a ranger you could wrangle yourself a special pet such as a Rhino, a Cobra snake, an Etheral Beast, a two headed Hellhound...etc.

5. Double Drunk and Sweetness Days - Get double the drunk and sweet tooth points while drunk or on a sweet high!

6. Rare Hero Dye drops - Get rare hero dye drops (very rare) so you can dye your hero armor different colors, yay!

7. Pet Fight Arena Weekends - Get your pet and fight in a round circle against other pets. Outcome is random, pet stats random... could lead to a new Pet Pit fighter title.

8. Coming of the Destructor Weekends - The Great Destroyer is coming... his avatars are appearing all over EACH and every mission / area / zone. There is 1 per area/mission. This avatar is level 25-30 and will spawn away from other groups. (If you are very low level then you can just avoid it until it teleports to another section of the map in 5 minutes). If it is in combat it will reset its timer every minute (so it will not vanish mid fight). The avatar is huge giant monster and has special skills... taking it down will require you to be level 20 at least. If you are in a group and you kill it, you will get 1 mark of faction for killing it. There are special Guardian NPCs in each of the 3 main towns for the 3 current campaigns. They will award you special prizes for killing 10, 25, 75, 150, and 250 avatars of the destructor. Rank 1 a special gold drop, rank 2 a special green drop, , rank 3 a special title, rank 4 a special mini, rank 5 an elite special title. These all tie to the upcoming Eye of the North.

I love Guildwars!

I would like to see double faction gain in Alliance Battles, we've been having all these double PvP faction, but Alliance Battles have not been included in any of those double faction weekends, why?

Ok in this order:

Access to The Fissure of Woe and The Underworld

Elite Missions

Gamer Weekend
Snowball Arena
Double Fame

When Hard mode is released I think a weekend where you get double Lightbringer and Sunspear points during hard mode would be pretty fun.

Another weekend with Shamrock Ales and Clovers would be cool also, but adjust the item names to fit whatever holiday was approaching.

1) Double keys <-- Please
2) Double XP <-- I need more skill points ><
3) Gold drop higher <-- Wisdom title

EDIT: Double fame would be stupid, as this would make rank become even more worthless as more and more people would be reaching the higher ranks. (9+)

Default Weekend events

1) Green drops
2) FOW/UW
3) Gold Drops
4) ale/clover (anything for booze)
5) rare chest loot
6) (MOST IMPORTANT) I think it would be nice to have 1 event every other week instead of everyweekend so those of us who play mostly during the week and not on weekends could enjoy them as well as those weekend warriors.

1. Gamer Weekend
2. Access to FoW and UW
3. Double chance of unique green drops
4. Snowball Arena
5. Shamrock Ales & Four Leaf Clovers

I loved the addition of rollerbeetle racing - minigames are a really great idea that I wish we could see more of. Snowball arena and Dragons nest are other great examples.

Double green drop weekends are great because it encourages people to do things together, and you can readily see the benefits; a nice new greeny for yourself or a hero. With the huge variety of greenies, it can be hard to find a specific one for sale. With the double dye, double chance of gold drops weekends and that kind of thing, its sometimes hard to see the actual benefits since these can drop from anything; around those weekends I saw quite a few people on forums questioning if chances had actually increased at all.

I've included the FoW and UW because it's great not to have to wait for favour; I don't care so much about the free entrance because you get plenty of cash to pay that off when you go in, but I don't believe PvP gameplay should have an influence on PvE when there is no relationship in the opposite direction. Plus it will be great to be able to go there with people in my guild from other regions.

I'm not a fan of the nine rings or rings of fortune; everyone just goes afk on those and its a big moneysink. I realise the lucky titles now have a use for new lockpicks which makes me kick myself a bit for not playing more, but really no one was having fun doing it, and I think a big part of the weekend events should be fun.

So my suggestions for future events: more minigames! Just silly fun stuff that people can enjoy and that can add in some small way to titles. I loved being able to get more alcohol for my drunkard title at the Lucky Weekend, and same with all the special items at Wintersday.

I would love to see a Valentines Day Event, or something similar...maybe thats because I'm a girl, but I think it would be great to see everything decked out in mushy pink stuff with lots of cute quests to solve NPCs relationship problems - think Rurik in pre sear trying to find a gift for Althea. More candy for sugar titles could be included - boxes of chocolates maybe? rose wine for drunkards? gift boxes; special auras where you have a higher chance of luck. A fluffy winged minipet? Pink dye for all?

Something for April Fools could be fun; lots of prankster kind of stuff with silly items that contribute towards a prankster title. A bit late for this year perhaps though.

There is a bit of a lack of festivals in the middle of summer, isn't there? Perhaps some sun worshipping festival on the longest day of the year, to celebrate nature?

I really enjoyed the theatre sidequests in Vabbi; maybe a nightfall cultural festival encouraging interest in theatre and music and the arts in general with related sidequests and items? I realise GW is all about killling stuff but a bit of culture wouldn't kill us either -_- I think a lot of humour could be incorporated into something like this.

Oh and I saw someone suggested double ecto and shards drops; that would be really really really nice, but would prob have to be paired with an open event for UW and FoW.

better drops of any kinds (ok no more scrolls until you get them to stack again!)
better loot from chests
more gold item drops....yeah they are pretty good now, but a double chance would be great and triple well, bless my soul we have a winnah!

I dont pvp so glad points etc mean nothing to me

access to fow/uw is good
access to elite missions is good too
access to boardwalk, rollerbettle etc is a nice time waster so its ok as well.

bad double stuff like xp, faction etc...

would like to see a weekend where gems dropped and rarer dyes (like blue, green, black and white).

like that double merchant idea too
and the free sig of capture would be great with a new expansion coming up

Top Five weekend events: in no particular order
-Double Green Weapon Drops(I'm personally a big fan of green weapons, I like some of the unique skins and the accomplishment of getting that weapon you've been waiting for is awesome, that being said it can get old to go back and kill the same boss a million times and not get a drop...so the occasional boost in the odds is always nice)
-Double Hero XP(This one is great for starting up a new character or leveling up a new hero or two. having level 15 heroes on my level 20 character means i don't ever use those heros.
-Double Dye drops(dyes are expensive and hard to come by, but i really like colouring up my characters...so these weekends increase the available dyes and lower prices...a good thing for me)
-Gamer Weekend(sadly i missed this weekend the first time it came around however having fun events like the roller beatle racing just seem like such a fun idea that I'd definately be happy if it happened again
-Shamrock Ale and Four Leaf Clover(mainly for the clover as i'm not a big drinker. I really like having rare one of(or a few of) a kind items that have use to them. going around and gathering up a bunch of clovers over a weekend and then being able to selectively use them during tough missions and the like makes the game alot of fun)

Suggestions for other weekend events:
-more rare item drops(like the clover) that have uses in game. armor boosts, DP reduction, health or energy regeneration boosts. Adding a temporary boost to your PVE character can be the edge to get the master reward on that one mission, or finally completing the high difficulty quest. For a beginner character like me, a little boost now and then can help.
-Special unique games or events(like the gamer weekend) different ways of interacting with other players and with your characters allows for some variability in the game which can be really fun. having fun rewards similar to the transmogrify potion would be awesome(i'm a big fan of having more disguses or shape-shifting elements in the game)
-Hero Access weekend: I'm thinking about areas like FOW and UW which, if i'm not mistaken you're not allowed to bring heros or henchmen in your party. while i agree with this for most of the year, having a weekend or two where you could take a team of henchmen and heros into FOW or UW to explore a little bit(especially for new players who haven't been there yet) that might be really fun(i'd definately enjoy it at least.

That's my thoughts. I'm loving these weekends overall...keep them up!

2. Rare chest drops
3. Triple green drops
4. Gaming weekends
5. Rare item drops (shamrocks etc)

Although, given the demise of GW and the coming of GW2 in 2008 (I am convinced aNet will have to release something for revenue in 08) it may make more sense for title related items.

Secondly, can't you just look at server stats and see which one was most popular? Will you tell us which ones were most popular by people attending?
